5/26/2017 0 Comments David Hockney David Hockney was born on July 9, 1937 in Bradford, United Kingdom. Hockney is an English painter, draughtsmen, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer. Hockney has home and studio that is located in London and also has two residences in California; He has been switching on and off between these places over the last 30 years. According to the worldwide web David Hockney has been classified as a a pop art and modern artist. In fact, he was one of the pioneers of the British Pop Art Movement in the 19060s. This artwork emulates his style because like the photo when you first enter his website there is a lot of photos layered on top of one another so that It uses several images to create one big image.
To create this photo when I was shooting I would stand in one position and then I would start at the top and then would take a bunch of photos while I was rotating to the right. Then I would go back to the start but slightly lower and repeat that step. I would then repeat those steps about another time. I kind of took the photos in a grid formation so that I could get a larger scene from the photos and could stack them. Then I would sometimes rotate the camera to get different angles of the shot but that didn't end up working to well. In photoshop I started a new template what was 11 by 14. Then when I was in photoshop I just dragged all the photos onto the blank template and just resized and recolored them until they looked the way that I wanted them to.

Period 4 May 2, 2017 MAN ON THE MOON The inspiration behind this photo was the song by Kid Cudi called Man on the Moon, which also inspired the title of this piece. Since this photo was a composition there are several photos from different places and some that I found online. The main photo of Jordan was taking at the local duck pond while on a school field trip. The other photo of the flowers in the background was taken at the local high school campus located in the campuses flower garden. The last photo of the moon I found on the Internet because I didn’t have one of my own and it was a really important component to the song that I was trying to bring to life. One major compositional rule that I used was symmetry. I used multiple copies of the photo of Jordan and make it so that they take up the whole bottom and there was an even amount of copies on both sides. The photo of the moon that I found on the Internet was also pretty symmetric on both sides since it was a circle. The camera that I used to take this photo was a Nikon D5300. To create this photo I used Adobe Photoshop. In Photoshop I used a lot of layer masks to create the multiple copies of Jordan and also to create the effect that made the photos look all blended together. I also used the gradient tool to make the coloring the way it is in the photo. My photo should be in the division of digital illustration because I used a lot of Photoshop and manipulated the photo in a lot of different ways. 4/21/2017 0 Comments Mood Portraits4/17/2017 0 Comments Composite ProjectThe inspiration behind this photo is the song "Man on the Moon" by Kid Cudi. The inspiration was the album cover because it has this gradient of his head into the moon that has similar colors as my photo. I was also inspired by the lyrics of the song:
"They got me thinkin I ain't human, Like I came in from above, above, above, above Feelin' like a bird sittin' high high I be that man on the moon I'm that man on the moon And i'm a do what I do" What I did in photoshop to create this photo was I changed the background so that it was a gradient and every photo that I added would have the same tones. I also used the magic eraser tool to get rid of the background of the photo of Jordan so that it was just him. Then I copied the photo of Jordan 6 times so that it would be symmetric. I then changed the opacity of each of the layers so it looked like he was fading. I also took a photo of the moon off the internet and then I put my photo of flowers over it and created a layer mask so that it looked like they were blended together. The reason that I wanted to put flowers in is because I thought that they represented life and that Jordan feels disconnected for that because in the song he says that he doesn't feel human. Thats also the reason I wanted him to be fading because his like fading from reality and wants to live on the moon isolated. 3/10/2017 0 Comments MandalasQuestions:
